Lucy's first project as a bandleader and producer was creating Violet Drift's first jazz album released in Montreal in 2022. The concept for the album was to create dreamy interpretations of the music of Duke Ellington and Django Reinhardt, arranged for accordion, cello, clarinet, banjo and voice. 

The album was released at Le Verre Bouteille in fall 2022 to great acclaim and national airplay and radio coverage, featured 5 times on CBC radio with Laila Biali, Jazz FM, Ici Musique Radio Canada, Jazz today, and many other magazines.
