Lucy's passion for dance, movement and figurative art lead her to pursue the performance of a fine arts model at just seventeen years old. She quickly began modeling full time for animation and painting schools in Vancouver in her late teens. She models regularly at Basic Inquiry, Fabrique St. George, and Capilano university’s animation school, as well as past gigs at Syn Studio, Mandi Boursicot’s classical atelier, film schools, and for the works of many private painting courses.

This work is meaningful to her art and meditation practice as it reminds her to practice zen meditation and the buddhist teachings of overcoming discomfort through breathing and stillness, practicing vulnerability with herself and others, and embracing her ever changing relation with physical embodiment as a woman. It also keeps her close to her passion for figurative art and a fascination with the human form. Her presence in many private arts workshops as an artist’s model has also aided in her education as a figurative artist in addition to her BFA in painting & drawing.

As both a figurative artist and model, her dynamic insight into fine arts influences her poses. The willingness to be both an artist and a muse, a subject of art as well as a creator herself, and to be vulnerable on both sides of that dynamic and ancient relationship, influences her well rounded artistic practice as a model, performer and creative director.
